Today I decided to take a closer look at my morning snack. Stonyfield Farms is a great eco-conscious brand of yogurt that buys carbon credits to offset any impact, uses recycled materials and ensures it’s ingredients come from sustainable sources. It also doesn’t hurt that they have low prices and a delicious product! The reusable water bottle will reduce the number of pre-filled bottles but the high grade plastic is almost impossible to recycle. Its a good temporary solution, but given the choice again I would invest in an anti-microbial steel bottle. As for the spoon, ideally i would use a reusable metal one but this was included with my purchase. A corn-based plastic would make a better alternative. This one time use product is #2 recyclable plastic so I’ll make sure it won’t end up in a landfill!
